The new hockey season is nearly upon us. The 18U and 16U teams will be unveiling a new look when they begin competition this season. Last March, the midget program announced a formal alliance with the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Jr. Sabres. While the teams will still skate under the Regals banner, they will be known as the Buffalo Jr. Sabres and wear the Blue and Gold. The 18U team gets underway on 8/28 with an exhibition game vs. Amherst, while the 16U team starts on 8/30 also against Amherst.
The 15U team will continue to be known as the Buffalo Regals 15U and will continue to skate out of Holiday Twin Rinks. The mission of this team is to blend a mixture of American and Canadian events playing in both the 15U and 16U divisions of tournaments.
