Tier I Labor Day Faceoff is one of the first tournaments to kick off the Midget AAA hockey season, beginning on September 2nd. Most tournament teams come from the northeastern part of the United States, including teams from states like Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and more. Tier I Labor Day Faceoff consists of an 19U division for junior teams and majority of the Midget 18U AAA hockey teams. Some of the other 18U AAA hockey teams have been placed in the 18U category which is mixed in with a few other junior and AA teams.
