Pool A
Marquette used a dominating 5-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Jr. Penguins to advance to the semifinals against Michigan Northstars. Michigan Northstars, like its upper michigan counterpart Marquette, beat another Pittsburgh team in the quarterfinals. Northstars defeated Pittsburgh Predators by a 5-3 score. Team Ohio defeated Milwaukee Phoenix AA team, while the most impressive team in Pool A, Twin Bridges Lightning AA, stomped USA Eagles 7-0. Team Ohio and Twin Bridges Lightning meet up in the other semifinal game.

In the quarterfinals we saw 5 of the 8 teams from the HPHL, and the four teams who advanced to the semifinals are all HPHL members. Team Illinois took down the red-hot Victory Honda team by a 6-3 score in a HPHL & TIEHL matchup. While Honeybaked defeated Chicago Mission in an entertaining quarterfinal game. Little Caesars' defeated the only quarterfinalist not from Illinois or Michigan, Dallas Ice Jets, 4-1 to keep their hopes alive of claiming their tournament championship. Compuware claimed victory in the last quarterfinal over Michigan's top high school all star team, MDHL Green.
