Northern Lakes Hockey League has released their 2011-12 regular season schedule. The NLHL has five league participants: West Michigan Hounds, Marquette Electricians, Soo Indians, Thunder Bay Kings, Shattuck St. Mary's AAA. Shattuck St. Mary's AAA is the defending regular season champion, while Thunder Bay Kings claimed the playoff championship on home ice last year. NLHL lost Ojibwa Eagles during the middle of 2010-11 season, and now lost the defunct Lansing Capital Centre Pride. Lansing Capital Centre Pride always competed for the NLHL regular season and playoff championships each year. The first regular season meeting is on September 24th, as the Soo Indians host the West Michigan Hounds in Sault Ste. Marie. NLHL league playoffs will be hosted by West Michigan Hounds in Kalamazoo, MI, on the weekend of February 24.
