Fighting Saints capture USHL Clark Cup

File:DubuqueFightingSaints.PNGDubuque has captured the USHL's Clark Cup with a 6-1 win over the Green Bay Gamblers in game 4, and a 3-1 series victory. Dubuque earns the Clark Cup as an expansion-franchise this year, but the Fighting Saints aren't newbies when it comes to winning the Clark Cup. This years championship marks the fourth Clark Cup for the Dubuque hockey club, and first since 1984-85 season. Dubuque was one of the original teams in the USHL, when they claimed the second Clark Cup Championship in 1980-91. Dubuque has been USHL Champions in 1980-81, 1982-83, 1984-85, and now 2010-11 season. The organization left the city of Dubuque and relocated to Tulsa, OK in 2001-02 season, and only a year later the organization ceased operations in Tulsa. Dubuque rejoined the USHL this year, and the reenergized city was able to help the Fighting Saints capture the Clark Cup Championship. Dubuque was 10th in the USHL in regular season attendance, and averaged 2,511 per home game during the season.
